There’s a proper story behind these earrings. Kairi Lentsius is an award-winning designer from Estonia. The Alas earrings are made by her father, Mart, in their workshop in Tartu — handcrafted from stainless steel that would otherwise be waste material from the metal industry.
The result is a pair of earrings that are both considered and unpretentious. The shape is simple — a small rectangle of polished steel, bent in the middle — but it catches the light in a way that makes it interesting. At 1.4g, they’re light enough to forget you’re wearing them. Stainless steel is hypoallergenic and low-maintenance, so they’re genuinely wearable every day without any fuss.
They come in a gift box with eco-velvet lining, which makes them an easy choice as a gift — for someone else or yourself.
