There’s something genuinely magical about a photo that comes out of the camera in your hands three seconds after you took it. The JOBOLT Hoppstar Artist does exactly that — and it’s designed specifically for children aged 5 and up.

The prints come out in black and white, which sounds like a limitation but is actually part of the fun. Kids can colour them in with felt tips, use them as stickers, stick them in a scrapbook, or hand them to grandparents. It turns photography into a craft activity, not just screen time.

Beyond the printing, it’s a proper camera. There’s a selfie camera on the back, a video function, autofocus, face detection, and a range of filters and frames. The 2.4″ IPS screen is clear and bright. The menu is available in 13 European languages including English, French, German, Spanish, and Polish — great if you’re a multilingual household.

No games have been added deliberately — Hoppstar’s philosophy is that the camera should encourage creativity and observation skills, not become another gaming device. It works. Kids actually use it for photography.
