The JoBolt 517 Aviator boot in Black is the go-with-everything colourway — city commute to country walk without changing your boots. Made by Samelin in Estonia, the same factory behind NATO’s legendary M77 combat boot and a manufacturer that has worked with Dr. Martens and Rossignol.

Most black leather boots at this price point cut corners somewhere — synthetic lining, cheap outsoles, or a water-resistant coating that washes off after three wears. The 517 Black does not. It is built to be tough, to last years not seasons, and to look sharper with every wear.

Honest note: The 517 has a genuine leather lining with no extra insulation. In freezing temperatures, wear warmer socks. For the other nine months of the British year, these are outstanding.
