If you’ve not come across Vibram before — it’s the gold standard in hiking and outdoor footwear soles. The same sole technology used in high-end mountaineering boots. The 553P uses a 2-layer Vibram construction, which means serious grip on both soft ground and hard surfaces, and a sole that lasts significantly longer than standard rubber.

The nubuck leather upper is naturally water-resistant and tough — the protective toe cap extends the life of the boot considerably. The 4-layer TOPAZ membrane keeps your feet dry while still allowing them to breathe, which matters on longer hikes where moisture build-up becomes a problem.

These are made by the same factory that has been producing the Norwegian M77 military boots for over 20 years — to NATO and ISO standards. That’s not marketing language, it’s the actual manufacturing specification.
