Vegetable-tanned leather is a different thing entirely from the chrome-tanned leather used in most bags. The tanning process uses only natural plant extracts, fats, and oils — no synthetic chemicals. The result is a hide that's thicker, stiffer, and more structured than standard leather, and one that develops a deep, rich patina over years of use rather than simply wearing out.
At 3–3.5 mm thick, the leather on Briefcase No. 35 is genuinely substantial. It holds its shape, handles weight without sagging, and gets better looking the more you use it. Every scratch and mark becomes part of the character of the bag — making each one unique to its owner over time.
Inside, the main compartment has a dedicated laptop pocket (28 × 26 × 2 cm) and a second pocket for a large notebook or iPad (22 × 22 × 2 cm). A carabiner keeps your keys attached and accessible. Two pen holders mean you always know where your pens are. The two front pockets (14 × 20 × 4 cm each) handle the things you reach for without opening the main compartment. The adjustable leather shoulder strap gives you a second carry option.
